The London-based trio Daughter present their debut, 4AD-backed album, ‘If You Leave’. The trio, made up of Elena Tonra (vocals, guitar), Igor Haefeli (guitar) and Remi Aguilella (percussion), balance an intricate interplay between vocal, guitar and rhythm section – Elena’s lyrics, soul-searchingly personal, and their delivery fractured and delicate. Elsewhere minimalist drums clash with stark and structured guitars, resulting in a bold debut.
