Quirky French synth-punk act X Ray Pop originally released ‘Pirate! The Dark Side of the X’ on limited cassette back in 1985. Now founding member Didier Pilot has cleaned up his old master for Finders Keepers, and given fans access to some ultra-rare treasures: the whooshing, spaced-out keyboards of ‘Funky Cat’, the slow bubbling and moody French monologues of ‘La Mort’. Every bit as arty and demented as you’d expect, this is a pre-Eurotrash slice of continental mischief.
