Universal present the soundtrack to Quentin Tarantino’s latest, bracing spaghetti-western style epic, Django Unchained. The film tackles the subject of slavery in the US’s Deep South and has led to an audience reception of characteristic controversy and compulsion. The soundtrack marks the first time that Tarantino has commissioned music to be written especially for one of his films – assigning Rick Ross with the task which he stands up to with suitable aplomb. The soundtrack packs in an eclectic bunch of names not usually accustomed to sharing a tracklist from the likes of Jamie Foxx, to Ennio Morricone and Italian pop singer Elisa.
