A taster of upcoming debut album ‘Nostalchic’, ‘Without You’ sees Stuart Howard gather his crackly electronic arsenal and calmly break your heart with it. Slow, stoned organs purr to a barely moving woodblock track, a tranquilised Kerry Leatham singing of “Your words, ingrained in me”. B-sides ‘Swallowing Smoke’ and ‘Guurl’ give Lapalux back his mojo with a mix of trip-hop and dreamy ‘80s funk.
