We wouldn’t have put money on this: a set of remixes of Clinic’s entire ‘Free Reign’ album by Daniel Lopatin of Oneohtrix Point Never. The ambient producer has added his swirliness to the Liverpool group’s alt-pop sketches, including a gorgeous rush of synths on the groaning ‘You’ and spaced-out Theremin to wah-wah guitar on ‘Cosmic Radiation’. If Oneohtrix is Lopatin receiving old analogue signals, ‘Free Reign II’ is him picking up Radio Caroline.
