Conceived by composer David Sheppard as a vehicle for instrumental pieces based around xylophones, glockenspiels, vibraphones, metallophones and other mallet instruments, Sheppard then linked up with producer and arranger Chris Leary to add further layers of chamber orchestration and discrete electronic textures. Expanding their arrangements to include woodwinds, a string quartet, classical and electric guitar and a never-ending list of other instruments – the pair present a beautiful, liquid landscape of sound.
