Magazine head honcho and Cologne-based producer Daniel Ansorge puts on his Barnt cloak for a release on the stellar Cómeme. ‘Tunsten’ is a jacking number that spirals out of control wildly, while title track ‘Ariola’ squeaks shrilly, built over a simple kick drum thud. Finally, the percussion in ‘Stat’ beats wildly, refusing to relent. A release that tests the boundaries of modern dance music to intriguing effect.
