St. Louis producer Parisian is Ian Jones, and his EP - dropping on the UK’s Push & Run - draws its name from the late South Korean model before she tragically took her own life in 2010. Opener ‘Diamond Variations’ is a beautifully bleak, atmospheric builder, while ‘Guilty Step’ plods along with off-kilter rhythms and pitch-bent moaning. ‘Places She’s Been’ continues in the same vein while ‘Still In Love With You’ finishes things off on a melancholic, piano-keyed note with delicate percussive subtlety.
