Chameleonic electro producer Andreas Tilliander has gone and got himself a new alias, and has decided to record everything in one take with ixnay on the overdubs. You could never tell: TM404’s sound is perfectly tranquilised house music, with ‘303/303/303/3030/606/606’ burbling around retro bass synths, and ‘303/303/303/303’ pulsing as smoothly as Global Communication if they hit their drum pads with pillows. Only the omnipresent tape hiss reminds you this wasn’t all cleaned up on a PowerBook.
