While the rest of Kraftwerk have been jamming ticket servers at the Tate Modern, original member Karl Bartos has dusted off some old material and tweaked it for the Bureau B imprint. This first single, ‘Atomium’, manages to reference both his work with Bernard Sumner/Johnny Marr in the ‘90s and nuclear power: soaring keyboards, rowdy bass, stabbing brass synths and robots describing “the most romantic buildings in the world”. There’s a German language version for purists on the flipside.
