Electro legend David Kempston’s new single is a timeless slice of analogue programming, collecting the various genres he’s strayed into over the years - breakbeat, electronica, acid - and burning them up in a community bonfire. ‘Semi-Automatic’ fuses monstrous, overbearing synths with a vocodered voices and a demented click track, while flipside ‘Hibernation’ adds radar blips and an army of bell telephones.
