LA producer Brendan Angelides' latest synth-heavy hip-hop EP has a sci-fi feel, and swaps the complex noodling of earlier releases for murky vocal samples, chunky beats and pads like Vangelis on a sugar rush. ‘Terra’ is a drive around an alien landscape from inside a gleaming chrome low rider, where blissed-out brass synths light up the sky and savage, super-powered kick drums usher in the occasional dust storm.
