A new chapter in Jamie Jones’ career is marked by his launch of his HOTTRAX label to sit alongside Hot Creations, supposedly offering a ‘more underground dancefloor aesthetic’. The title track on the inaugurating EP is an acid-tinged builder backed by a devastating kick drum. ‘Road to the Studio’ takes on a loose, skanking feel while ‘No Rush’ rounds things off nicely, tipping its hat to house undercurrents.
