Following his flirtations with Harbour City Sorrow, Seattle’s Chris Roman makes a return to Frustrated Funk as 214 by dropping his ‘Submanouvers’ EP, manhandling some serious bass weight in the process. Opening with the ominous builder ‘First Descent’ then veering into sharply rhythmic waters on ‘Bluetooth Clone’, it’s the title track that really steals the show as a croaking, mechanical workout.
