Swiss jazz eccentric Bruno Spoerri combines two electronic film soundtracks into one quirky album. ‘The Silliest Tune’ sprinkles chiptune blips over a cheesy organ melody, making the ‘Teddy Bär’ score seem coy after offering funky blaxploitation on ‘Sweet Smell of Success’ (which includes Shaft-style tyre screeches). The second soundtrack is gentler, with the eerie ‘Walking’ playing drone over distorted child’s voices. It’s a long way from John Williams but it’s still cinematic.
