Named by cult music magazine The Wire as the album of the year upon its initial release, Lost and Safe is a hard to categorise anomaly, spanning indie rock, heartfelt singer/songwriter atmospheres (think Chris Garneau) and Bruce Gilbert/Kerry Leimer style studio techniques. The songs are subtle, full of emotion and feel almost as personal as the later work of Arthur Russell. Remastered in original band member Nick Zamutto’s studios, the album sees new life in 2016, a full eleven years later.
