Container’s simply stellar last ‘LP’ was an intoxicating mass of relentless oscillating abstractions and his most recent album, the identically titled ‘LP’, is no different. It takes off where the last one left off with an unwavering sense of immediacy and another slab of twisted, alternate techno. As usual, the thing that seems to separate Ren Schfield’s work from other contemporaries is an ability to match his noise based experiments with a primal sense of stark rhythmic cohesion.
