Industrial Records reveal the dual release of ‘Desertshore’ and ‘The Final Report’, two extraordinary recordings tracing lines through a unique collaboration from Chris Carter, Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson and Cosey Fanni Tutti. ‘Desertshore’ repositions Nico’s seminal post-Velvet Underground 1970 album and all its lurching sorrow in amidst the tangled, febrile electronics of Throbbing Gristle’s later live material. ‘The Final Report’ gathers recordings taken from the trio’s final sessions from 2009 and 2010 in Chris and Cosey’s studio in Norfolk and reveals a maligned concoction of nocturnal techno-eroticism and a celebration of their unique alliance.
