Veronica Vasicka’s unstoppable Minimal Wave imprint makes another fine move, revealing the work of Sympathy Nervous, the project of Japanese artist Yosihumi Niinuma. With influences from both classical and Krautrock, ‘Plastic Love’ features a collection of songs recorded between 1970 and 1980, originally released as studio demos and never released until now. Stylistically, they explore the ground between the proto-techno of ‘Anatawa Suguni’ and the post-punk masterpieces of ‘Untitled 1’.
