The London-based party/imprint Church present a new release from young talent Happa. ‘Beat of the Drum’ showcases his beyond-his-years skills and knack for sharp and clean arrangements, clattering in a well-conceived flurry of rising and falling percussion lines, grumbling subs and the odd vocal shriek. Remixes come from Throwing Snow with a juke inspired refix and Apes & Seb Wildblood with some stripped-back, pitched down reworking.
