Conventionality don’t come easy for Madteo, all the more obvious when looking at his discography which has taken in the likes of Norway’s wildly brilliant Sex Tags and their Wania sub-label, Germany’s Workshop, as well as Will Bankhead’s Hinge Finger and now Finland’s pinnacle of cool Sahko Recordings. His brand of leftfield house takes in the jazzy flourishes of Detroit beatdown, the grayscale tones of industrial and the nourish, frazzled techno haze of whatever it is that Madteo does. Pure brilliance.
