1989 LP Doolittle was the follow up to The Pixies incredible debut LP Sufer Rosa and acted as a continuation on their raw, seething alternative rock sound. The album’s imagery and lyrics draws on dark subject matter, often with a biblical twist with dynamic vocal pairing on ‘I Bleed’ and the more melodic ‘Monkey Gone To Heaven’. The classic ‘Here Comes Your Man’ represents a lighter, more up beat piece whereas ‘Crackity Jones’ is a sweat-drenched, riotous blend of hundred miles per hour drumming and wailing guitar picks.
