KAYTRAMINÉ is the first collaborative LP from Canadian producer Kaytranada and American rapper/singer Aminé. The roots of KAYTRAMINÉ date back to a fateful DM exchange that followed an Aminé edit of Kaytranada’s ‘At All’ way back in 2014. Aside from a few beats here and there, a collaboration in the truest sense had not yet come to fruition until this LP. Pairing the breezy style of Kaytranada’s house-inflected R&B with Aminé’s deft and personal lyricism, KAYTRAMINÉ not only gives listeners the best of both worlds, but also points towards new avenues for both artists to explore separately, or together. Tracks like ‘4EVA’ and ‘Eye’ boast big time guests, but KAYTRAMINÉ is at its best when squaring in on the give and take between its two main stars, and that’s the best kind of team up there is.
