Werkdiscs / Ninja Tune come correct with the first single to appear from Lukid’s ‘Lonely at the Top’ album – ‘This Dog Can Swim’. The track makes no bones about being fierce and disconcerting – icy synths rub up against jagged snares in a flurry of feral swagger. ‘This Dog Can Run’ recycles those same splashy snares but this time moves with considered warmth and emotion. Remixes come from the young Swede 1991, and the Italian producer Mass Prod.
