UK label Deep Medi Musik dips back into the vault for a reissue of its very first vinyl release, Kromestar’s Kalawanji ft Cessman / Surgery 12”. Kalawanji was also the London dubstep star’s first appearance on Medi, starting off a fruitful partnership that has netted the pair several undisputedly classic releases. The A side’s title track is worthy of glory, but it's the flip ‘Surgery’ that impresses most, with sub bass that could smash glass and a plinking synth line that recalls a malfunctioning brain scan.
