Jodey Kendrick (Rephlex, WéMè Records, DUB recordings etc) makes his debut on Furthur Electronix with an EP of acid-tinged rave entitled the SR 71 EP. Whether named for the vintage tube compressor or the Lockheed jet, Kendrick brings plenty of full-throttle face melting intensity to this release. The opening ‘Sizab’ runs through a haunting horror movie style intro before spinning back into a classic hardcore groove that’s thrillingly interrupted by a malware glitch. The closing ‘BEAT EURO ACID’ however is as advertised: a stunning 156bpm acid roller that takes no prisoners.
