Jordan based producer Toumba lands on the Nervous Horizon label for the first time for a new EP entitled Janoob. Janoob means “The South” when translated from Arabic, which is apt since this EP folds in sounds and rhythms cultivated over centuries in the Southeast while still keeping an ear towards the worldwide rave underground. The end result is dance music of a different stripe entirely, with tracks like the ’Qasf’ and ‘Back of the Hand’ set to move bodies and wreck systems in ways few else can.
