Merciless industrial from the Berlin techno powerhouse Ancient Methods and newcomer Kareem on the Fondation Sonore imprint. The two artists pit themselves against one another to reveal different interpretations of one track. Both get to work on ‘Zealots’, Ancient Methods delivering a blistering piece of nightmarish noise and galloping tempo and Kareem taking a wildly opposed approach with a sharp and clean-cut approach to rhythm. ‘Dammerung der Parhelia’ meanwhile gets given a dungeon makeover with layers of ritualistic hypnotism, whilst Kareem provides a shuffling piece of discreet paranoia.
