Newcomer Charlie Baldwin debuts on R&S Records’ sub-label, Apollo Records, with three tracks of complex and highly original rhythmic electronic motifs. Citing Steve Reich and percussive jazz as big influences, the 22 year old producer shows off his skills for constructing complex harmonies and melodies laced with found sounds, live drums, vocoded vocals and waves of textured, unearthly noise.
