LV’s deliver their first album for Hyperdub – ‘Sebenza’ is a veritable feast heavily influenced by kwaito and the South African underground, no less than three guest MCs appear including Okmalumkoolat, a dextrous vocal manipulator, Johannesburg’s Spoek Mathambo, a pioneer of the South African scene and the Ruffest duo who contribute with cut-up and sliced, heavily processed vocals. Underneath all that, the music is just as diverse harbouring a riot of references from UK funky to house.
