Regis’ vast archive of works continues to be unearthed as a new double 12” reissue arrives featuring seven tracks describes as ‘interlocking pieces that were constructed to be played back to back’. For the real Regis heads, it is essentially a modified version of Karl O’Connor’s ‘Disintegration’ album, adjusted with other extended material. The title track ‘Death Head Said’ is a heavy piece of funked-up filth that comes rooted with a heavily EQ’d raging stomp. Elsewhere, ‘Baptism’ is a rhythmically-charged galloping piece of minimalism and ‘Assume Nothing’ is a high energy piece of rotting machine funk.
