Bwana aka Canadian Nathan Micay takes his shot at reconceptualising the hallowed sounds of R&B, deconstructing their voices and supplanting them back into our consciousness with fresh energy. The diva in question here is Ciara, whose vocals come chopped and pitched up, alongside rising synths, bubbling percussion and percolating polyrhythms. Remixes come from London trio Black Orange Juice with some neo soul and fellow Londoners 14th with a 4/4 house rework.
