A new Text release is unleashed from the mysteriously titled Percussions. You may recognise the enigmatic producer from Text boss Kieran Hebden’s stellar ‘FabricLive 59’ mix CD, and with ‘Bird Songs’ Percussions creates the type of sound that fits so well on Hebden’s imprint – jacking 4/4 grooves inundated with field recordings, skipping garage rhythms and deep dub manipulations.
