Italian producer Andrea returns to the Zenker Brothers’ Ilian Tape label for his latest LP entitled Due In Color. While Andrea’s windswept tracks already hued closer to the quieter, more introspective side of the club, Due In Colour recedes even further, folding in atmospheric jazz motifs and favouring more natural analog instrumentation in an effort to (only somewhat) eschew the dancefloor. The end result of course seems to split the difference between club weapons and more headphone-bound affairs. In any case, both impulses are rendered well: tracks like the propulsive ‘Silent Now’ and the more cerebral ‘Dove Mai’ are among his most gorgeous tracks yet.
