Rrose and Bob Ostertag join forces once again for the first release on the Eaux label. ‘The Surgeon General’ is a potent blast from two eras of esoteric noise - the A-side unearths a desolate piece of steam train whistles and dripping notes of deconstructed rhythm. What follows are Rrose’s more contemporary techno adventures – two restorations of elements from the Ostertag original, treated with ambient atmospheric depth and primal bass drone manipulation.
