Om Unit is decidedly out of the dub haze of his Acid Dub Series and back on the dancefloor with his latest Atlantis EP, presenting an eclectic variety of club styles. ‘Prophecy’ snaps with acid dub fusion at a racing pace, a pumping hardcore breakbeat pushes bright piano stabs into a floor filling bass buzz. The sizzling crush of high powered broken beats slam on ‘Forward’ like firecrackers with shining beacons of strings gliding in, and ‘Amber’ heightens those explosive clusters of percussion, maximalist over a four to the floor beat with an overdriven drum break hitting full force.
