With the GRM (Groupe de Recherches Musicales) stamp of approval, Kassel Jaeger presents his fifth album and his first for Editions Mego. A member of the experimental collective himself, the Swiss-French artist reveals the kind of meteoric, earthen sound manipulations that could only come out of the GRM. Commissioned by Escape Mendes France for a performance at the Poitiers Planeterium, 'Deltas' opens with manipulated aerial field recordings of stones on opening gambit 'Campo Del Cielo', and travels further still into the hinterland of complex conceptual electro-acoustic improvisations and mind-bending abstract compositions.
