Subtext keep it in the family by handing over control of the remix of tracks from Emptyset’s recent album ‘Demiurge’ to Roly Porter and Paul Jebanasam. The latter gets a hold of the original ‘Demiurge: Of Blackest Grain to Missive Ruin’ and swiftly takes it to pummelling depths, feeding grainy drones into the darkness and creating a sense of guitar-led conspiracy. Porter takes a different slant, encasing his rework in militant armour, a ravaging machine made up of industrial-strength electronics.
