The Thought Broadcast present their debut album, a foggy affair that marries together dark and dubby minimalism with the over-saturated tape abstractions of post-punk. You could be forgiven for confusing parts of the album with sound effect experiments from the mid-60s as there’s a definite exploratory feel to transmissions. Voices in the dark, lingering with an eerie reversal of backdated futurism. Another superlative effort on one of the best labels going.
