Brooklyn trio Lemonade are back with a second LP, four years on from their self-titled debut record. But where that album and follow up EP 'Pure Moods' were effervescent, sugar-rush pieces of synth-pop, 'Diver' sees the group grapple with an altogether more sombre mood. Closer to the arch-sensibility of Canada’s Junior Boys, this is Lemonade mixed with hard, cheap liquor; all soft breathy vocals, aching melody lines and bittersweet, affecting choruses oozing with regret.
