Asma Maroof and Daniel Pineda aka Nguzunguzu reveal their much anticipated debut album for Hippos In Tanks. ‘Warm Pulse’ sounds immediately less dance floor orientated than much of their previous material for LA’s Fade To Mind imprint and instead stands as a listening album, basking in the shadows of R&B ghosts and pastoral figures. Things do get more heated as the album continues however as sirens blaze through rattling rhythms, piercing melodies and menacing cartoon-like motifs.
