The second full length Craven Faults album arrives after the previous Enclosures and Live Works. Constructing a sonic map of northern Britain that ducks through rock formations and weaves through timelines, Standers is an ode to a world changed by industrialisation. These tracks are patient, molten even, and sparking with minimal yet varied palettes. ‘Hurrocstanes’ spins forwards as it opens, its steady footsteps quickening in pace, slowly evolving as the landscape shifts, while light kicks drift through the clouds on ‘Meers & Hushes’, charged with a dramatic gravitas.
