Refreshing U-turn in stylistics from John Elliott’s Mego sub-label, Spectrum Spools, as Japanese singer-songwriter-electronicist Plvs Vltra takes the lead in a curious formulation of whacked-out psychedelic pop music. Almost like the stranger excesses of early Broadcast-pop but plugged into brightest urban Tokyo... pink neon lights bursting at every blink, buzzing AM radios tuned into skewed Holter daydreams, broken Casio nightmares.
