John Elliot heads up the rapidly evolving musical entity, Outer Space, joined by a constantly rotating cast of electronic figures. Included on this occasion - Philip Whiteside of Wavehead, Drew McDowall of Coil and Mirror Eye and Jeff Hatfield of Fragments. ‘Akashic Record’ hears the follow up to their self-titled ‘Arbor’ album from 2009, retaining a similar aesthetic of synthesizer experimentation and esoteric relations, pursuing a more urgent and fractured sense of composition.
