‘Azure’ was Slam’s big track from 2007 replete with pumping pace and idiosyncratic patches of melody. Now, that track gets the remix treatment from no less than two big-name heavyweights, Carl Craig in his C2 guise and KiNK. The C2 mix is a characteristically skilful effort hearing the melody sped up to form part of the whole track’s dynamic. Strings and an ominous array effects lend an air of haunting mystery. KiNK goes for a darker look with pounding industrial intensity, driving bass lines and big sweeping juggernaut effects.
