LP.8 was a scintillating addition to Kelly Lee Owens’ discography, skipping albums 3 through 7 to send her into a meditative yet propulsive future. Her companion mini album LP.8.2 expands on her pristine universe of sound, amplifying heartfelt, angelic harmonies and vibrating scifi rhythms. Bass buoys balance precariously in a sea of humming vocals on ‘Rituals’, ominously dreamy as gentle microbeats skitter and grow to a lasering intensity. Owens’ strong vocals take centre stage on ‘Moebius’, where all things are connected and throbbing together amongst nervous bass tremors and icy pings.
