French cellist and composer Gaspar Claus follows up his 2021 full length Tancade with two extended pieces germinated from the album’s initial writing sessions. The A side’s ‘Inside’ was finished concurrently with an unrelated film score, its scope and non diegetic feel certainly feel inspired by the Tancade sessions. The B side’s ‘Beyond’ hues closer to drone music, with a haunting string buzz hovering over that never fully resolves.
