The Stellate Series is an ongoing project in 2012 for Stroboscopic Artefacts. Following from the first edition Stroboscopic Artefacts have pulled together another well-curated artist selection; Dadub, Silent Servant and Luis Farfan, Roll The Dice and Plaster. For this particular edition, the music centres itself around a more atmospheric aesthetic; where machines breed brittle, isolated soundscapes that hum with a distant pulse of industrial dub music.
With each of the Stellate Series, Stroboscopic Artefacts bring together two tracks by four different artists. From a label known for its brutal minimalist sonic and visual aesthetic this is as uncompromising as one would expect and a real treat for the eyes and ears. Whilst these individual musicians each has a voice on these records, the thread that runs between the music and the design of this product is cohesive and clear.
