As part of 4AD’s 30th anniversary celebrations, the label reveals a 4 CD boxset of all of Colourbox’s released recordings. Forging a path through the swirling colour’s of the post-punk era, Colourbox (made up of brothers Martyn and Steve Young and singer Lorita Grahame) pioneered the pre-sampling dance arena most notably between 1982 and 1987, creating a body of work notable at most for its unpredictably eclectic nature, a bare-back ride through dub-reggae, blue-eyed soul, hip-hop, electro and post-punk.
