The most natural step in the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble’s trajectory.... An eight-piece brass band made up of a whole family of brothers from Chicago, who just happen to be the offspring off Kelan Philip Cohran. Brought up in the jazz heartlands of 1940s St. Louis, he’s been a close cohort of Jay McShann, John Gilmore and Sun Ra and now his attention turns to his own progeny. Opening track ‘Cuernavaca’ is a surge of regal air, resonating with true vigour and exotic spirit.
